The MCSCD offers ground preparation for our tree services. Before trees are planted by machine, the MCSCD requires a properly prepared seed bed. Grounds will be disked in the fall if necessary, and tilled in the spring.
If the tree planting is not on cropland, disking should be done to break up the sod and help make it easier for the weed barrier machine to pick up soil along the edge of the fabric to hold it in place.
Tilling is done a few weeks prior to planting in the spring to further break up the soil, which will provide a soft, easy to move seedbed for the trees to be planted into.
Both disking and tilling are $100 for the first hour, and then $50 for each additional hour afterwards.
